Slip-ups From Global Heads of State When They Think No One Is Listening
This week, Indonesian leader Prabowo Subianto believed he was a private conversation with US President Donald Trump at the Gaza peace summit in Egypt.
However, a hot-mic incident captured Prabowo requesting Trump to organize a meeting with his son Don Jr, both of whom hold positions at the family business.
This was just one in a series of missteps committed by international figures thinking no one can hear them.
Below are five other noteworthy errors:
Organ Transplants and Everlasting Life
During a defense ceremony in Beijing in early autumn, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were recorded discussing organ transplants as a approach for prolonging life.
"Vital organs can be continuously transplanted. The more you extend your life, the more youthful you get, and you can even reach eternal life," the Russian translator was heard saying.
Xi, who was not visible, answered in Chinese: "Some predict that in this century humans may live to 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Ex-Australia border protection chief Peter Dutton faced criticism in 2015 when he joked about the plight of people in the Pacific experiencing rising sea levels.
Dutton was conversing with former PM Tony Abbott, who had recently come back from climate change talks with Pacific Island leaders in Port Moresby.
Noting that a migration discussion was running on "delayed schedule", Abbott responded: "We had a similar situation up in Port Moresby."
Dutton added: "Schedules become irrelevant when you're about to have water lapping at your door."
The comments sparked outrage from regional nations and environmentalists, while the political opponents demanded Dutton to apologise.

'Bigoted Woman'
While serving as UK PM Gordon Brown was on the trail in 2010, he encountered a voter who questioned him on immigration and the economic situation.
Remaining connected to a Sky news microphone when he entered the car, Brown was heard saying: "That went terribly – they should never have put me with that individual. Whose idea was that? Absurd."
Asked what she had said, he answered: "Everything, she was just a prejudiced person."
The scandal dominated headlines for weeks and Brown went on to lose the political race.
'I Cannot Bear Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Former US president Barack Obama was in discussion at the international conference in Cannes in 2011 with France's leader Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu were captured by a active recording device.
Sarkozy said: "I can't stand Netanyahu. He's a liar."
According to a account from a French interpreter quoted by Reuters, Obama responded: "You've had enough but I must work with him more often than you."
'Major League ***hole'
A vintage hot-mic moment from then US presidential candidate George W. Bush occurred when he made a disparaging remark about a reporter from The New York Times.
The Republican presidential nominee was didn't realize that a recording device was active when he turned to Dick Cheney at a Labor Day rally and said, "There's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times."
Cheney answered: "Oh yeah, that's true, big time."
